The term wildcard has many meanings. The idea for naming this session of the Art of Collaboration “WILDCARDS” rests on a few observations in working with groups:
While you can prepare for a workshop or a meeting with a group, you are working with the hand that you have been dealt with. A “wildcard” shows up, something unexpected, a theme, a role or a person. How do we deal with these situations as facilitators?
Sometimes you are stuck in working with a group and you need something special. A “wildcard”: an intervention that disrupts the cycling in one topic, something that opens a new perspective, something that moves the process along.
In this online session, we will explore what wildcards in the context of facilitation mean for us, how we can work in wildcard situations, and share some methods – our wildcards.

The format "Art of Collaboration" is intended to address specific questions from the theory and practice of working with groups. The "Art of Collaboration" is understood as a space for dialogue, experimentation, learning and experience, in which different approaches, methods, procedures and questions of working with groups are explored together.
